Dogs.

Have people ever wondered why some people love dogs so much? Dogs are such loving, loyal, and adorable animals to begin with. If you've never heard of any real life touching stories that involves dogs, go search up Hachiko, along with a number of other dogs. I just don't know why some people would actually harbor such evil thoughts to actually go and harm such an innocent animal. Do these people know what they're doing? Dogs are not just an animal. They have feelings, too, like humans. Just like humans, they will feel traumatized when they get abused. There will always be a scar left in their hearts. Sometimes dogs bite people who get too close to them, it's because they feel that they should always defend themselves against a human because they think that person will abuse him/her just like how the previous person did. They are just acts of self-defense, not that they're ill-bred or spoilt dogs or whatsoever.

If you took the time to understand a dog, you will know that there is so much more to this tiny animal. It's a being that is full of secrets. There's love. Compassion. Faithfulness. Loyalty. Hatred. Sadness. Anger. Trauma. So much more than these. I just wish some people would understand how much it hurts other people to find out about an abuse incident, because seriously, they are living things. They are not objects for you to manipulate here and there.

They deserve to be loved with all our hearts. They don't deserve to be ill-treated just because they seek for a little affection from a human. Next time, you see a dog, don't scowl at it. Let it approach you, let it sniff you out. The dog is just trying to be friends with you. Treat it nicely, and it will be nice to you. Some people just don't seem to understand this point. "Dogs are a human's best friend." That's such a true saying.

Anyway, it doesn't only apply to dogs, it applies to other animals as well. Cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, fishes, etc. They deserve fair treatment too. Spend some time with your pet instead of going shopping everyday. They need companion too.

Last but not least, I would like to preach to everyone: ADOPT, DON'T BUY. It hurts just to think where the little puppies from pet shops come from. But, if you keep buying them, puppy mills will keep abusing more dogs to produce more puppies just to sell it to people who patronize pet shops. We have to stop this. Start adopting, and stop buying. All the animals in the animal shelter deserve a second chance to have their happiness. They are still seeking for a new chapter in their lives. And I hope everyone can realize this.
